Benefits of a Zero Energy Ready Home

Save Money

Existing homes cost thousands of dollars annually in utilities and maintenance due to outdated techniques that are still being used in new construction today. Using modern construction techniques our priority is to design and build a home that keeps heat in and cold out. Our super-Insulated homes reduce heating and cooling costs which means more money in your pocket.  With the addition of solar panels you could turn your home into a zero energy or energy positive home which means you are producing just as much, if not more energy than you are consuming, translating into a yearly net utility bill of Zero!

Live Comfortably

Existing constructed homes can be drafty and inconsistent in temperature from room to room. Our homes are constructed with more insulation to be air tight and draft free, creating a consistent comfortable temperature throughout the home. With smart thermostats standard, our homes learn your patterns, and can turn the heat up to your desired temperature before you get home, so you can always walk into a comfortable home.

Live Healthy

"Poor indoor air quality can lead to eye irritation, headaches, allergies, respiratory problems such as asthma, and other serious health problems." (Source: Epa.gov) Enter our standard fresh air (HRV) systems. We install an air system that is constantly circulating and filtering fresh air into the home. Many existing homes also use toxic glues and paints that off gas Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC's) which have been known to cause health problems. All of our homes are constructed with Low and no-VOC materials, minimizing exposure to these harmful gasses to keep you and your family healthy.

Sleep Easy

With all this talk about going green, and reducing your carbon footprint we want you to know that at Francoeur Properties we strive to reduce our carbon footprint as much as possible. Materials are sourced locally which means less emissions from transportation. We use recycled products where we can, including our cellulose insulation which is made using recycled newspaper. Our homes are designed to be heated without the use of fossil fuels. Along with our high efficiency heating, hot water, air filtration, and appliances you can rest easy that you are doing your part to make the world a greener place.
